So as to strengthen the correct administration of the Bank, to reduce the possible conflicts of interests, to mitigate risks related to the Institution administration, to improve the decision-making capacity and the risk rating of the Institution, the BICE implements a Corporate Governance Code.
This Code establishes the principles ruling the administration of the Bank as regards its purpose and the strict compliance with the laws and the articles of incorporation. Likewise, it constitutes an articulating document with the documentary and non-documentary references on which makes the principles of the Institution are based.
On the other hand, the Code of Ethics aims at describing the minimum principles of behavior and conduct to be observed by the members of the Bank.
This instrument complements the Internal Rules and Procedures exising in the Bank to develop its members’ tasks and functions and, together with the Code of the Corporate Governance, constitutes the BICE’s Corporate Governance Management System.
