– The Argentine Guarantees Fund (FoGar) is a public trust through which the Government gives access to credit to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by granting total or partial guarantees to secure loans granted by financial institutions. It was created by virtue of Law 27,444 and, through it, financial entities that grant loans to MSMEs can have a guarantee from the National Government to secure such financial assistance. This narrows the risk for creditors and enables companies’ access to financing.
– The FONDEP is a public trust fund whose purpose is to provide access to financing for projects fostering investment in strategic industries for the economic and social development of the country. Trustee: BICE Fideicomisos S.A. Enforcement Authority: Secretariat of Entrepreneurs and SMEs (SEPyME), under the Ministry of Productive Development of the Nation. Decree of creation: Decree 606/2014, 174/2018, and 439/2018.
– Trust Fund for the Development of Venture Capital. Created as an administrative and financial trust under Law No. 27,349 for the Support of Venture Capital. The purpose of the FONDCE and any trusts to be created within its framework shall be to finance ventures and institutions of venture capital registered as such, pursuant to the mechanisms and conditions stated in the regulations of the aforementioned law. So far, Title I of the law has been regulated by Decree 711/2017. The Secretariat of Entrepreneurs and SMEs (SEPyME) of the Ministry of Productive Development is the Enforcement Authority, and the aforementioned Regulatory Decree has appointed the BICE as Trustee of the FONDCE through the aforementioned Decree 711/2017. The Trustor shall be the Ministry of Productive Development, represented by the SEPYME.
